The find the hidden object parts are pretty easy and it has a decent story but it ends with....To Be Continued...... Too bad there is no middle ground here: it's a positive or a negative rating you have to make. Not everything is bad in that game, yet I can't recommend it and forced to put a negative rating with the system.I love Hidden Objects games and while I can forgive a lot of stuff, I can't really recommend this one for a reason: I don't always have enough hints to guide me into the story. The tasks are self-explanatory but you don't have any hint for where to go. And when you're sure you need a tool you've seen in a scene, you might have to wait until something else happens or worse, you collect stuff BEFORE the task was given. As a result, while the story is interesting, it can be confusing because of that. Also, when you begin the story, you don't know why your character is with a medium (are you a client? Someone with abilities?), which is sad, because having a little background wouldn't hurt.Another negative point is in the HOG scene itself: some of the objects are barely visible (I remember the fingerless glove having the same shade of color than the ground - or a wheel padlock in a light that was so bright that you couldn't really see the object).But otherwise, graphics are correct, soundtrack is correct and while you're in the end always doing voodoo dolls to free people, you're acquiring spells that help you to advance (and THERE, you have suddenly hints for when to use them). Too bad they're underexploited. It would have been nice to use them more than three times.Besides, will I buy a second Voodoo game? Yes, because I want to know the end of the story. They managed to make a cliffhanger. Besides, maybe they've improved it: after all, Samantha Swift, Mystery Cases Files, Mystery P.I. or any game made by Artifex Mundi improved over time.. Basic point-and-click, but minus the scares of older, better-known games. Feels like a game of "I Spy" for a good 20% of the game due to the repeat of a similar mini-game which does not make much sense in the context of the game. Also, it is incomplete and ends without resolving the plot by promising a sequel or update. Would not recommend.. This is really a good little hidden object game that in the classic sense where it is mostly hidden object sections rather than some other games being more puzzles than hidden object hunting. Also, the hidden object sections actually make sense unlike some other HOGs where stuff is where it should be in common sense terms.It is a short game, but if you are looking for a good, classic HOG, this is a good choice.. Gameplay is fun and challenging, Lots of stuff to do, and lots of stuff to explore. So that is definetely a plus.On the downside, and this is why i will not recommend this game. The ending of the game is very sudden and unexpected, leaving You wonder who the bad man is/was and what the ♥♥♥♥ is happening. The game itself states that You are saving the town of New Orleans from a curse, in reality You will save like 4 people and then the game ends.Price was okay, but considering the short duration of the game, and not knowing when or wether it is going to be continued, it is a totally waste of money.You might be better off playing playing a Facebook games, at least You do not have to pay.. I understand there are some items that are confusing or that you don't expect what they are, but that's the point of those games. There's a couple of problems of this game that makes me dislike it, but not hate it.I live in south Louisiana, so I know about the culture and stuff around here. Apparently, this game failed to capture it. Using only Voodoo to relate to New Orleans doesn't help.Another thing is the abrupt ending. I like the story, but the ending just washed it away.This isn't a good game, but not a bad game. I got this game because I love to see stuff that takes place in Louisiana. This one, was a slight disappointment.. The game is pretty well made, apart from some weird uses of the english language, and would be pretty good... if it didn't end very abruptly with a cliffhanger.. 6.5/10 stars for me. It had potential! Pros: An interesting plot, magnifying glass for hard to see items, different skills you get along the way. Cons: Cliffhanger ending, the 'penalty for misclicking' is a bunch of spider webs/cobwebs spaming over the screen making it even harder to find the items.
